Agriculturist

Job Description

• Carries out applied and field research into environmental conditions and product effectiveness
• Provides supervisor with appropriate news, information or developments on the farms
• Visits farms and production sites for evaluations
• Responds to questions from caretakers about health of crops, soil and environment;
• Investigates soils (origins, composition, and toxicity);
• Studies soil fertility and plant nutrient levels;
• Identifies degraded soils and develop plans to improve them;
• Develops improved soil management practices;
• Develops waste management programs for composting and farming; and
• Devises and develops new fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides.

Requirements

• Age:  25+
• Male
• At least two experienced
• Something Related this Job
• Does not have to be licensed but has some experience on growing crops and/or livestock
• Must have an interest in the science of both soil and plants;
• Should be environmentally concerned person;
• Should have strong organizational skills;
• Good communication and listening skills;
• Must be able to work alone as well as part of a team; and
• Should be analytical and creative when it comes to problem solving.
